Hello everyone,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've had some issues with the updating myself, the issue is primarily caused by how the files are loaded to the cloud. When I first posted an update I received a versioning issue once Zifrian's computer re-connected to the cloud share.
While I'm still getting acclimated to the code I am doing my best to get some fixes out for you!
I will look into the SVR issue as well as the updater issue.
If you're having issues with the updater could you tell me what version the application is?
I'm also working on a new feature that will be releasing soon. I may also change the update logic to try and prevent some future issues.

Build: 3.2.5940.33944 So you're taking over development of IPH? God bless you! Would it make sense to start a new thread so you have the ability to edit the 1st post when you update the software?
Indeed I am! I will open up a new thread when I release the next patch (3.3) I'm currently planning out some features of which are
- Revamp the Blueprint page (No longer will you have to scroll around, it has auto-complete!) - Pop out window that displays blueprints in a hierarchical pattern (I'm still working out the layout but I got that done mostly today) - Updating logic (Try to improve how updates happen) - Better Error reporting
I'm also looking for ideas! I'm hoping to have a release sometime within the next couple weeks. |

Who Even Cares wrote:The ability to use ore/compressed ore in the raw material list instead of the refined minerals is what I really wanna see
This is something I plan to tackle in the near future. There are quite a few obstacles calculating this due to ore calculations in general, and whether or not you have access to the ABC Ore (Seriously who wants to only mine Veldspar? :P )
To give you a sense of the complexity and to determine the best 'bang for your buck' many factors need to be considered. Let's use an example just because I like numbers :)
20 x Cormorant:
- Tritanium x 730,106
- Pyerite x 220,652
- Mexallon x 94,991
- Isogen x 19,902
- Nocxium x 6,176
- Zydrine x 3,981
- Megacyte x 335
With the Tritanium requirement alone we have the option of: Veldspar, Scordite, Pyroxeres, Plagioclase, Omber, Kernite, Hemorphite, Dark Ochre, Crokite, Spodumain, Arkonor
Of course they all give differing values of Tritanium, and just looking at the numbers Spodumain gives double the amount that Arkonor does. So then it becomes a game of what ore is best, etc.
And with that example I just realized how to calculate this... This change will take time though. There are a LOT of factors to take into account :) |

Don't forget taking skills and facilities for reprocessing into account
That would be absurd to forget about that!
I will say though that this will be a slow roll-out. The calculations are massively complex. I will get a *basic* function working for the next couple weeks, then from there tweaks will be made.
The first release will provide:
- Null Sec Compressed Ores (It can pull HS ores too, but it starts with the best yield; so null) - Refining in a POS (52% or 54% base yield; need to add a new sub-tab; that's low priority) - Skills factoring into reprocessing
Right now it's calculating properly, but I don't have a good efficient way of getting it to factor in the skills. It's going to take a few iterations to find something fast and efficient.
I was originally calculating based off the mineral which required the least; this was because I figured it would be easier to go backwards than forwards, that worked fairly well, but the numbers I got I disagreed with. So I'm starting from the top down; i.e. Tritanium -> Morphite
Since there is an Eve Update next week I *hope* to be able to do what needs to be done. |

Jessie McPewpew wrote:I'm having the update issue. Everything works fine but I'm getting prompted to update. The version # is 3.2.5895.32258.
Apologies that you are having issues. It looks like it's not properly kicking off the transfer. Try running the application as administrator. During the update it tries to load another process, which I'm hypothesizing is failing due to admin rights not being present.
I will also be releasing a fresh installer for this week. Then we won't have any issues if you can't update! (It will be a fresh install, so you'd have to add your API keys again).
This is something I'm going to be working on, but unfortunately I spent a little too much time working on the compressed ore calculations + real life responsibilities = not enough time for update logic.
If running as admin works, please let me know (I can't reproduce the issue on any of the machines I've installed IPH on.) I will be releasing a new version this week (Thursday most likely).

Haffsol wrote:It's also good to see someone is taking over tho. Best of luck to Cwit.... what the heck of a name is that? Talking business now, about the ore compression calculator there is another pretty important factor to.... factorise, and it's the availability and actual convenience of the blocks themselves. In any case, I think a good way to solve many issues about trying to teach a computer to decide what is "best" is not to teach it at all. Let the user decide a list of priorities in which they want to buy blocks. Literally something in the form of a list where you can move the different ores up and down in order to show which one you wanna buy first. For instance if you are in highsec (and buy them in Jita) you'll probably will have something like: Veld Scord Kern ..... ..... Mercoxit If you are in the loneliness of some forgotten Drone system, you'll probably prioritize spod over veld as in: Spod Bisto Gneiss Crok Mercoxit This way you can also exclude those who are not convenient or simply not present at all in the local market. Anyway, looking forward to see the new thread and course of things.
This is a very good idea! I will look into the logistics of adding this. As of right now, I am forcing the code to assume some things. It chooses: Spodumain, Gneiss, Bistot, Crokite, Arkonor or Dark Ochre; it's pulling those because they give the best yield. I do plan on having it work with High Sec ores too.
I spent 10ish hours getting the calculations right haha, I tried a few different solutions which were nice and fast to implement, but weren't completely accurate. It wasn't until I wrote it out myself that I got more verifiable numbers, I even cross-referenced them with a spreadsheet a buddy of mine uses. There will always be some excess minerals, but I'm using a rolling calculation which seems to give the best rates. I'm incredibly excited for you all to give it a try and to get some feedback. I'm not calculating Implants in yet; I need to actually buy one for my character to make sure the numbers are accurate (I do check things in game too).
And to answer your question; my real name is Christopher, a friend of mine; while drunk tried to make my name 'cute' and called me Cwittofur (quit - toe - fur). It's just stuck haha.

Woo Hoo! Awesome! I'll make sure that others try this as well if they have issues. Thank you for getting back so quickly! |

Zar Myx wrote:If you ever get bored and want to develop a whole new module, may I suggest a sales/inventory management system. IPH is a great tool, and I think type of functionality would be a great addition.
- I want 100 of these items stocked for sale in system X - I only have 50, indicate this - since I need 50 more, do I buy or build (probably allow people to specify preference and also allow calc showing cost benefit) - if I build, do I have enough mats - probably allow specification of minimum number of building mats. IE I know I will be building constant supply of Caldari ships, so I always want a minimum of 20 millionTitanium Carbide on hand.
-probably want to add some sales reports, indicating profit and cash flow
- be real useful to somehow also manage/monitor contracts. All my logi contracts are sold, I need to make 10 more and list them. For these, I need keep certain meta modules on hand and build some other t2 ones.
No where near a full list of reqs, but I think you get the idea... If you ever get bored...
That would be an interesting thing to add. |

Liisa Henttu wrote:Hello. I'm having a little problem with updating corp assets in Shopping list. Assets don't update when I tick Station Warehouse Containers from where I want to import stuff. http://i.imgur.com/20mAbTY.pngContainers do show the stuff I have in them, but when I click "Update with Selected Assets", numbers on the "Items to Buy" and "Components to Build" boxes don't change. Am I doing something wrong?
I don't currently have any minerals in station warehouse containers to test and verify this, I will do that tonight :) Please fill out a bug report on GitHub that way I can track it more appropriately. When filling out the bug report please be as detailed as possible to how I can most accurately reproduce this.

If one of your APIs changed recently, please update it through the Manage Accounts Menu. By the way, same message appears if I try to do as instructed. Of course nothing changed on my side.
I'll check this against my API's and see what's going on. CREST is broken for sure right now.
Wreck It wrote:Been loving this app for many years now!
Quick question: When do you think we can expect an update to EVE IPH for all the new stuff in Citadels like the new BPOs and the changes to broker/transaction fees?
Thank you in advance for all the time you spend on this app.
I'm working on getting an update out for Citadels relatively soon. This is a pretty big update with a lot of changes.
Sermin Enbur wrote:For some reason it appears that the broker fee's for buy orders doesn't match for me... I have correct standings set for the buy order location and correct character skills. Everything else matches but the broker fee, for example: 28,500,003 Tritanium I get 1,171,489.92 ISK in broker fees with a total of 176,161,508.34 ISK But when I go and make the order in-game I get way higher broker fees: 4,369,863.09 ISK with a total of 179,359,881.51 ISK IPHIn-game
Skill are right, Standings are right, Prices are updated and yet I can't find a reason why the broker fees are off. Any idea? Anyone?
Brokers Fees and Sales Taxes were changed in the Citadels release. At this point in time IPH has not been updated to work with this new pricing structure. It will be updated though.

I had a pretty significant real life emergency which pulled me away and caused me to cancel all of my accounts and what not. I re-subbed again though so I'm back!
